We love the stained glass windows, which add an element of nostalgic grace. Overall this is a great place to meet up with a friend or spend long periods with a laptop or book.

In the evenings the cafeteria also serves wonderful wine and cheese boards. As a result, it makes for a great happy hour or after-dinner coffee. And did we mention it's located near thefamous filming location of Forrest Gump🇧🇷 Savannah's public squares are always worth exploring.

O Drayton

A stylish shoebox cafeteria serves up great coffee and a limited but always on point selection of baked goods like peach brioche scones (shown above) and root beer donuts. (<– Yeah, both are amazing.) The food selection here is seasonal, so the bakery menu changes frequently. Still, whatever they have available is sure to be intriguing. Pay attention!

Again, the service is fast and there is no room to linger. Make this your first stop if you're running late or in a hurry. Ultimately, Drayton is one of the best places to grab a quick coffee in downtown Savannah without sacrificing quality.

Cafe Zorro and Higo

The espresso bar at this popularplanted coffeeserves excellent single origin PERC coffee with various nut milks. They also sell delicious homemade chocolates and local gluten free baked goods. in the end we loveCafe Zorro and Higonot just because of the ridiculously good coffee, but because of themagical decoration full of plants and cozy artistic atmosphere.

The come-as-you-are cafe is popular with SCAD students, as the atmosphere is super hip and the prices are affordable.

Try their delicious spiced lavender mocha, an elderflower espresso tonic, or their specialty Masala Chai Latte. All dairy drinks are made with Oatly Oat Milk. The cafe is a lovely place to sit and relax or wander around if you get your coffee to go.

With its somewhat out of the way location on Habersham Street, Fox & Fig Cafe is also in one of the prettiest parts of Savannah's Victorian district. Walking around here with a fresh coffee is a delight at any time of the year. If you make the trip here, be sure to explore the neighborhood.

Foxy Loxy Cafei really feel"lived in" and down to earth🇧🇷 This incredible location inside a house on Bull Street (very close to the iconic SavannahGingerbread house) is as homemade as possible. We love their rich and creamy matcha lattes and goat cheese brownies (pictured above).

Most of all, though, we love the youthful energy here. Given the proximity of the café to several of theSCADIn buildings farthest from campus, the space buzzes with the hustle and bustle of overcaffeinated college hipsters and local writers hitting deadlines.

Try the Black Fox Cold Brew and pair it with a tasty option from the kitchen menu. Choose from a wide range of coffee offerings, from cream cheese kolache to traditional Tex Mex. They even have tacos! And, as with all Coffee Fox offshoots, there's also a great selection of vegan and gluten-free baked goods.

Foxy Loxy also regularly hosts intimate live performances by local and regional artists. (Again, it's the quintessential college town vibe.)

For those who want a night's rest, they also host bonfires every Saturday night at dusk. It's a great time to switch from drinking coffee to drinking local craft beer!

Cafe TAD not SCAD Museum of Art

The SCAD Museum of Artthere is a cute shoebox cafe that is part coffee shop, part art boutique. They sell gourmet coffee and snacks, as well as creative gifts and art books related to the museum's current exhibits. There is limited seating, but it makes for an attractive, whimsical break on your way out of the museum. (Which is always worth a visit, especially if you are an art lover!)

They offer a limited selection of sandwiches, bowls (Asian salmon bowls, vegan bowls, etc.) and desserts as well. I love the lemon poppy seed bread and pumpkin bread when available. Watch!

For the most part though, this is just a fun place to stop if you need a coffee before going on with your day.

Bitty & Beau's Cafe

The self-described "radically inclusive" cafe also has locations in other cities, includingCharleston, Carolina del Sur, Georgetown, DC and Annapolis, MD.
